Bio
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, with a book in my hand. My mother fostered a love of stories from an early age, which led to my love of writing. Certain things from childhood you never lose sight of—they serve as a compass even when life pulls you in other directions. This is what reading and writing have been for me.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University and a master’s in journalism from New York University, I spent an exciting decade as a journalist, then another several years working as a financial editor and ghostwriter. It was then that I was able to return to my first love, fiction. That compass…it guided me back to the place I always wanted to be.
My debut novel, Grief Cookie, is slated for publication in spring of 2026.
I live in New York with my husband, John, and our 5-pound shih tzu, Poirot. When I’m not reading or writing, chances are, I’m in the kitchen, for I’m also personal chef to the tiniest, best-fed family east of the Mississippi.
